According to the Denver Business Journal, “Colorado ranks fifth among the states for job growth over the past year and twelfth for a total increase in jobs.” Between 2015 and 2016, the state added more than sixty thousand payroll jobs.

Colorado is expected to continue its job growth trend, according to at least one forecast. The University of Colorado at Boulder creates an annual economic report called the Colorado Business Economic Outlook. The 2017 report states that residents of Colorado should expect a job growth rate of two point four percent. The state should rank in the top ten states for job growth as well. Colorado has experienced a high job growth for six years.

In recent years, Colorado has experienced the highest rate of job growth since the mid-90s. The Denver Posts reports that “Colorado’s unemployment rate of three point seven percent remained the seventh lowest in the country.” The residents of Colorado have experienced job growth in the past several years.
